I took this in October 2021 at the abandoned United church in Dorothy, AB. Dorothy is located next to a dark sky area, and I wanted to go out there to capture the aurora. The night skies were clear, and when the aurora didn't show, I took photos of the stars. I like how the light from the surrounding houses illuminates the far side of the church steeple with orange light contrasting against the cold night sky. The back side of the Milky Way is hardly ever captured, and I love how it looks with the steeple.
This image was created using 5 light frames with the meteors added back in from their individual frames in post-production. The awe captured in this image reminds me of the song "The Outro" by M83, hence the image's name.
